Sky Mobile offers its customers the chance to rollover unused mobile data

Sky Mobile customers saved over £36 million worth of mobile data during the lockdown period.

The unused data between March 23 and May 3 equates to over 5.4 million GB of mobile data.

This data has been rolled into Sky Mobile Piggybanks for customers to use at a later date.

Any spare data can be kept up for up to three years.

On average Sky Mobile customers saved an average of 4.6GB data in the last six weeks.

This is up 155 per cent from 1.8GB per month between October 2019 and February.

Sky Mobile managing director Paul Sweeney said: “With Roll, Sky Mobile customers can share their spare data with family, or exchange it for rewards like money off a new phone, tablet, accessories, Sky Store movie vouchers and choose from over 20,000 movies.

“In fact, over 150,000 of our customers exchanged their spare data for rewards in April alone.”
