Powered by fan-less Qualcomm platform

Samsung has unveiled the Samsung Galaxy Books S, a new lightweight laptop with mobile connectivity.

The vendor claims the device, which runs on Windows 10, offers Gigabit-capable LTE connectivity powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8cx platform. This Qualcomm platform has been purposefully designed to be fan-less, ensuring the device remains cool and makes little to no noise.

With a 13.3-inch display and a weight of 960 grams, the device also has a 10-point multi-touch screen and up to 1TB of expandable space. It has 8GB RAM and 256GB or 512GB ROM, and a 42Wh battery.

With Microsoft’s Your Phone app, users who own a Galaxy Note 10 device can connect it to the Book S, enabling access to media and ability to respond to calls and texts across devices.

The laptop will be available in Earthy Brown and Mercury Grey colours in the UK, with prices starting from £999. No release date has yet been announced.
