Samsung’s AMOLED tablet displays to go into production next month

Samsung is prepping its AMOLED tablet displays to go into mass production next month, a Korean media outlet has revealed.

The AMOLED trades a backlight for photons emitted from each and every pixel. They’ve been used in recent Samsung and LG TVs.

According to the report the displays being made are at 10-inches. Phone Arena also reports that some eight-inch displays will also be coming.

As for just which tablet will take on the new displays? Samsung hasn’t said. Will the tech be applied to smartphones in the near future?
