Everyone is getting excited about flexible phones, or in Samsung’s case, slightly curved phones — but Samsung isn’t all the interested in the form factor, with the company’s CEO promising something completely new. At Samsung’s analyst day the company’s CEO announced that folding displays should be in our hands by 2015, with tablets and smartphones both enjoying the new technology, alongside the new wearable category.

Along the lines of wearable tech, Samsung Electronics CEO Kwon Oh Hyun also admitted that there was “room for improvement” on the company’s ill-received Galaxy Gear, with the company already rumoured to be working on the next generation of the Gear, we can’t say we’re surprised.

According to a road map provided by Sammyhub, the company is working on curved and bended displays throughout the next two years, with foldable displays being the next ‘technology barrier’ that the company hopes to break.
