The Samsung Galaxy S6 and Samsung Galaxy S6 edge are both expected to become Samsung’s best-selling Galaxy phones ever.
Samsung expects sales of its two latest flagship devices to break the 70 million mark, according to a report in the Korea Times, which cites an unnamed highly-ranked Samsung executive.
“The Galaxy S6 and S6 edge are drawing positive responses,” the unnamed executive said. “I have no doubt that they will be the biggest-sellers in the Galaxy series ever.”
Asked about sales estimates, the unnamed executive said: “We expect 70 million plus.”
Samsung Galaxy S6 sales aim
Another Samsung source told the Korea Times earlier this week that Samsung is aiming for 10 million units within the first 26 days of sale.
The Galaxy S smartphones have been incredibly popular since their release. Samsung has sold over 200 million Galaxy S smartphones since launching the devices in 2010.
