Samsung has brought the new Galaxy J5 to Europe, with the device initially shipping in Germany.
Samsung’s latest entry-level smartphone has finally arrived in Europe. The Samsung Galaxy J5 offers premium styling at a cheaper price-point, with curved metal edges that bear a close resemblance to the iPhone 6. It’s also a similar size to the existing S6, with a 5-inch 720p display making it only a touch smaller overall.
Inside, you’ll get a 1.2 GHz quad-core Snapdragon 410 processor and 1.5 GB RAM. There’s also a generous 2,600mAh battery, quite a luxury at this price. The rear camera will be capable of 13 megapixel images, while the front camera will be 5 megapixels.
The phone is available now in Germany for a price of ¬235. Expect a wider rollout to the rest of Europe fairly soon.
