Orange has added two sub-£50 prepay handsets with touchscreen to its prepay line-up.
The ‘Amsterdam from Orange’ has a 2.4-inch QVGA-resolution touchscreen and slide-out QWERTY keyboard, with a 2-megapixel camera and video recorder. There’s also an FM radio, MP3 player (with microSD card slot) and Opera Mini 4 web browser. The dual-band GSM phone, with GPRS and EDGE support, is a re-badged Alcatel One Touch Xtra that was released earlier in the year.
The Samsung Libre C3300 also has a 2.4-inch touchscreen, with stylus, 1.3-megapixel camera and an FM radio and MP3 player (again, with a microSD card slot). The phone uses Samsung’s TouchWiz Lite user interface and also gets an accelerometer and Bluetooth.
Both handsets will cost £49 on prepay, subject to a minimum top-up of £10.
