Find X2 will cost £899, with the Find X2 Pro arriving at £1,099

Oppo today (March 6) launched its flagship Find X2 series with the duo of smartphones expected to release in the UK from May.

The Chinese brand unveiled the Oppo Find X2 and Find X2 Pro, both of which are 5G compatible.

The launch event was slightly different to one Oppo had planned for the Mobile World Congress, and was instead streamed pre-recorded via video link.

While availability and a concrete release date hasn’t yet been confirmed by Oppo, the Find X2 costs £899, with the Find X2 Pro £1,099.

Both phones come with 12GB of RAM, with the Find X2 coming with 256GB of storage and the Find X2 Pro with 512GB.

Specs

There’s not a huge amount of differences between the two models, with the most notable differences being the difference in storage.

Oppo claim to have upgraded the refresh rate in the series, with both models supporting 120Hz, with the duo equipped with an AMOLED screen.

Both smartphones come equipped with a triple camera system, with the Find X2 Pro slightly more advanced with a 48MP ultra wide angle lens as opposed to the 12MP featured in the Find X2.

Again both phones have the same processor with a Snapdragon 865, while both smartphones use Oppo’s latest UI, ColorOS 7.1, which is based on Android.

There’s not much in it with the battery sizes either, as the Find X2 Pro just edges the Find X2 with a 4,260mAh battery instead of 4,200mAh.

The charging system has also been upgraded through Oppo’s SuperVOOC 2.0, which has charging power up to 65W.

Oppo’s Western Europe head of strategy and product marketing Michael Tran even demonstrated that the phone can be fully charged from zero to 100 per cent in 38 minutes as he presented the launch.

Customers will be able to get the Find X2 in either black (ceramic) or ocean (glass) colours and the Find X2 Pro in black (ceramic) or in orange (vegan leather).
