Oppo to launch flagship killer in Beijing

A tipster from a popular Chinese social media website has leaked the first images of the Oppo Find 9.

Oppo is a smartphone manufacturer which is quickly developing steam in the mobile world thanks to their cheap, well equipped handsets. The Oppo Find 7 was their last flagship device and also one of the first smartphones to ship with a QHD. Disregarding the fake 50 megapixel camera which was purely clever marketing, the handset was a real stunner that could be bought for under £400.

Today, news has arrived of a successor that takes a respectable jump over its predecessor. The leak comes courtesy of Weibo tipster @Kijuma, who managed to get his hands on one and post some images. The Oppo Find 9 is expected to feature a Snapdragon 810 processor plus 4GB RAM, QHD display, 21 mega-pixel main camera and a fingerprint scanner. While it’s not quite the groundbreaker that the original Find 7 was, it’s still a very well equipped handset that easily competes with current flagships.

According to the tip, the Oppo Find 9 is expected to debut in Beijing on the 19th September.
