The OnePlus team has spilled details of the much anticipated OnePlus 2 in a Reddit AMA.
Representatives from the Chinese brand, called Michael, Emmanuel, Carl and David, revealed many details, including the fact that the handset will be smaller than the OnePlus One.
OnePlus 2 battery
The battery will be upgraded from 3,1000mAh to 3,300mAh, which OnePlus claims will make the device last 10% longer.
A physical fingerprint sensor was also revealed, but there won’t be a heartrate sensor on the device.
A longer charging cable will also be included with the device, alongside a “solution in place that will satisfy everyone.”
Questions about front facing speakers, a 120GB version, a 3GB RAM version, wireless charging, a dual-SIM handset and an IR blaster were asked, but the company ignored these.
Users also asked about the phone’s screen and camera, but the company said: “We’ll leave the details for the launch.”
The session ended with OnePlus confirming that the device will launch as an invite-only device because the scheme worked so well with its predecessor.
A new render of the 2 was also posted on PC Online. This render flaunts the device’s fingerprint sensor, curved metal back and iPhone-like design.
