In what seems to be a clear out, OnePlus are now selling the OnePlus 2 through Amazon UK.
The OnePlus 2 is a brilliant device, NFC or not, it did everything else at a great standard. While we can’t fault the device, we did have issues with OnePlus and their archaic invite system. To OnePlus’ credit the invite system is slowly getting better, with their latest devices seeing less time on the invite system.
Today we’re seeing for the first time a OnePlus device being sold by a third party, you might have heard of them, Amazon? Amazon UK are selling the 64GB OnePlus 2, and they will do so at the new discounted price (£249) seen on OnePlus’ official website.
Speaking to Engadget, OnePlus has confirmed Amazon US will start selling the OnePlus 2, eventually. OnePlus are clearly having a clear out before releasing the OnePlus 3.
Release officially date confirmed
The Chinese company confirmed the launch date in a blog post on their Chinese site. The launch will be done all through virtual reality, so if you were lucky enough to snap up a free Loop VR headset, be sure to tune in.
Here are the timings for the launch:
China: June 15th, 10:00 (UTC)
UK: June 14th, 3:00 (GMT)
US: June 14th: 10:00pm (EDT), 19:00 (PDT)
Specs and visuals
Details for the OnePlus 3 are pretty much out, even an official render (above). We’re expecting the OnePlus 3 to shave a Snapdragon 820, 4GB/6GB RAM, 64GB internal memory, 5.5-inch FHD screen, 3,000mAh battery and a 16 megapixel camera.
The OnePlus 3 is looking to be OnePlus’ first metal device coming in grey, black and gold. Oh and NFC is supposedly making a come back.
