O2 has finally revealed pricing details for its upcoming 4G network, available from August 29, with the cheapest contracts starting from £26 per month.

A PC Advisor report has revealed that the cheapest contracts will set users back £22 per month and provide one gig of data. The heftiest contracts available will run to £36 per month and provide users with a whopping 8GB of mobile data, with all 4G contracts including unlimited calls and text messages.

If you’re considering signing up with O2, it is worth acting fast – the prices the carrier has released are introductory offers. which will expire on October 31. After that data allowances will drop to 3GB and 5GB with 8GB of data no longer being available.

But as always, the devil’s in the details. While O2’s 4G network should offer much faster speeds, iPhone 5 users won’t be able to join in on the fun as that handset doesn’t support the 800 MHz spectrum O2 was awarded when it bid for its 4G network.
