Nokia has confirmed roll out of the Windows Phone 7.8 upgrade has been temporarily paused.
The roll out started in January, to Nokia Lumia phones running Windows Phone 7.5, including the older Lumia family of 510, 610, 710, 800 and 900 devices.
This roll out would occur during February, Nokia said, and was operator dependent “meaning you will receive a notification in the coming weeks if you have an unlocked phone or if your operator has approved the update.”
Lumia 510s were being shipped pre-loaded with the update, Nokia said on its blog.
However, Microsoft had recently identified a minor issue with the update and had temporarily paused delivery until it was addressed, a Nokia spokesperson confirmed.
No further information was available, such as how many handset owners were affected and what the issue was.
The Next Web recently reported that a Microsoft team member had identified a minor issue with the Live Tile updates and was working on a fix.
