Nokia has finally gone a step beyond saying the N8 will be out during September and given some firm dates for when you can get your hands on this long awaited phone.
For anyone that opts to pre-order the phone at Nokia’s Online Shop, it will go on sale during the last week of September for the SIM-free price of £429.
For everyone else, the phone will hit stores on Friday 1st October from a range of retailers and networks, including Carphone Warehouse, O2, Orange, Phones4u, T-Mobile, Tesco Phone Shops, Three Mobile, Virgin Mobile and Vodafone.
The 12-megapixel monster, with high-quality HD video recording, is of great importance to Nokia as it is the first handset to bring us the Symbian Foundation’s latest Symbian^3 operating system.
A range of features of the new OS include three homescreens, improved flick (kinetic) scrolling and pinch-to-zoom, while the hardware offers a Xenon flash for the camera, integrated video editing, improved apps and Dolby Digital Plus surround sound.
