The Nexus 5 might be getting Android N after all.
Android N is a welcomed update and we can’t wait to have it on our devices. It really is the little things that make your daily driver a part of your being. Previously we reported on Android N and the Nexus 5 was not on the list of confirmed devices to be receiving Android N.
The Nexus 5 is one of the most popular Nexus devices, Google’s reason for not including it on the Android N list? It’s too old and has pass that time frame for new updates from Google.
But looking into Google’s Git repositories, reveals Google are testing Android N for the Nexus 5 (hammerhead). So there’s a chance for it to appear on the Nexus 5, perhaps Google omitted the Nexus 5 because it can’t perform to a standard newer devices can, with the awesome new features.
Android N will be receiving an official name and possibly a release in the next few months.
