Well here’s an interesting spin on today’s Motorola news. Lenovo, which just bought the company from Google, might be making the next Nexus device.

The Nexus series is of course a range of smartphones and tablets branded by Google but made by different manufacturers. Russian leakster Eldar Murtazin posted the rumor on his Twitter account.

His post read: “Lenovo will launch one of the last Nexus product, volume will be huge and it will be focused on US market.”

It is possible that this could have been part of the deal that was announced today, which saw Motorola sold for £1.75 billion. That said, it’s the first time we’ve heard the Lenovo name connected to the Nexus brand, so take this with a pinch of salt for now.
