The next iPhone you see could feature two cameras on the back. That’s what recent reports suggest anyway.
According to a patent filed to the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office, Apple is considering placing two cameras at a new iPhone’s back.
A telephoto camera and a normal-to-wide angle camera – like those on current iPhones – will be the two cameras.
iPhone camera patent
There’s a lot in the patent about aperture, track length, focal length and other potential new features for the cameras, but nothing has been confirmed.
Apple filed the patent in October 2013 and we’ll just have to wait and see if two cameras make it onto the iPhone 6S or iPhone 7.
