Apple’s OS X Mavericks is finally out. Naturally, the company has now started to discount its predecessors, the Mountain Lion and Lion OS Xs.

Both have gone on sale this week, with Apple offering $20 vouchers for either one through its online store. The vouchers must be redeemed through the Mac App store, so that only people using the hardware can take advantage of the offer. Leopard and Snow Leopard users will undoubtedly want to be getting their hands on the updated software at a discounted price. From Mountain Lion and Lion, users can update to Mavericks for free, whereas doing so through the Leopard and Snow Leopard OS is said to have its share of issues.

Mavericks launched on October 22nd, the day of Apple’s press conference. Also announced that day were the iPad Air and iPad Mini with Retina Display.
