Follow up to ‘life proof’ Defy to be available in the UK from September, running on processor 25 per cent quicker than its predecessor
Motorola Mobility is to release its durable Defy+ handset in the UK in September, as first reported by Mobile News last month.
The follow up to the Defy will run off Android 2.3 (Gingerbread) and is powered by a 1GHz processor – running 25 per cent faster than its predecessor.
Like the previous smartphone, the Defy+ is water resistant and dust proof and also comes with a 3.7-inch touchscreen made with scratch resistant Gorilla Glass.
The Defy+ features Motorola’s own Motoblur cover, which organises messages and synchronises contacts to keep conversations in constant motion. It also includes Motorola Media Link to enable users to sync their media content from their desktops, as well as a five-megapixel autofocus camera with flash and digital zoom and 1,700 mAH battery for 7.1 hours of talk time. A 2GB microSD card will also come bundled, expandable up to 32GB.
A range of accessories will also be available alongside the Defy+ including a vehicle dock, bluetooth headset, bluetooth car kit, portable power and car charger.
