Motorola’s promise to launch the Moto X handset with a personal engraving feature has had to be pushed back due to technical problems with the engraving process.
The Moto X, due to launch this Friday, was originally advertised as offering buyers the chance to engrave a personal message (within Motorolas guidelines) as reported by The Verge. However, a Google+ post from Computerworld’s JR Raphael has confirmed that Motorola have been forced to delay offering the feature. Motorola is citing the digital prints not being up to their required standards as the reason behind the decision. However, they have not offered an update on when the feature might be made available again.
