Meizu will officially reveal the Meizu Blue Charm E on August 10th and according to vice president Li Nan, it’s expected to bring some pretty unique features on-board.

A fresh image leak has revealed that the device will feature a remote control application allowing users to unlock their car, open the boot and even operate the air conditioning. The car model shown in the leak is a Roewe RX5; this Chinese people carrier is the first smart vehicle to come out of the country. Whether it will work with other models remains to be seen.

Meizu Blue Charm E is a strong mid-range device

Aside from the car control features, the Meizu Blue Charm E is expected to be a worthy mid-range competitor. With a MediaTek Helio P10 and 3GB RAM, it should be able to handle most common tasks. There’s also a 5.5-inch 1080p screen and 13 megapixel rear camera shooter, plus a 5 megapixel selfie cam. The 3,100mAh is also a decent size, putting it ahead of most other competitive handsets. Needless to say, it also has fast charge.

Aesthetically it’s got the usual Meizu appearance, with two horizontal antennas top and bottom. It comes in a brushed one-piece metal finish. We’ll know more when the device drops on Wednesday.
