Recently leaked rumours suggest that Microsoft could be lining up a true Lumia flagship to coincide with their Windows 10 Mobile release date.

The Windows Phone OS has been in dire need of a true flagship, with most of its devices falling behind the competitors on range-topping features. Not since the Lumia 920 and 1020 has the platform seen any true flagship competitors with uniquely defining features.

Recent leaks of a rumoured Lumia 940XL suggest that Microsoft could be upping their game and releasing a true powerhouse device, which matches flagship Android phones feature-for-feature.

The specifications list for this rumoured phone are impressive: 5.7-inch Quad HD display (2560 x 1440 pixels), octa-core Snapdragon 810 processor, 3GB of RAM, 32GB of storage, 20MP rear camera, 5MP front snapper, USB Type-C, microSD slot and a slim, metallic unibody design. It will also feature a unique Iris Scanning technology which should help it stand out from the competition.

It’s worth noting that it will arrive with Windows 10 on-board and herald the arrival of Microsofts new one-for-all operating system. It will also feature full Continuum support, meaning that you can plug it into a TV and experience a near-full desktop experience.
