Lebara is launching a new set-top box entertainment service specialising in international movies and television shows for audiences across Europe. Lebara Play, which will be available in the UK, Germany, Netherlands and France by the end of June, will bring free and premium fully-licensed content in 13 languages.
The new service will bring content from some of the biggest channels in Europe, Africa and Asia, including:
- Sun Network, home to Sun TV, KTV and Adithya, the most popular Tamil entertainment channels worldwide.
- African Movie Channel – licensed for the first time outside Africa – specialists in new and classic African cinema.
- Premium pan-African channel, Ebony Life, and leading Nigerian channel, Silverbird.
- Number one French Nollywood movies channel, Nollywood TV.
- Top-rating Turkish channel ATV Avrupa, alongside Euro D, Eurostar and TV8 International, plus an extensive catalogue of Turkish movies.
Programming will be a mix of live TV and pre-recorded content from 150 top-rated tv channels, alongside 3,000 movie titles for Tamil, Turkish, French West African and English West African viewers across Europe. Content can be streamed on mobile, computer, tablet or TV in HD and SD quality. The rest of Europe will be catered for over the summer, with the service launching in other worldwide regions by the end of the year.
Lebara Play subscription
Lebara Play will have flexible payment options, which can be purchased at retail outlets, online or via a mobile app that can be downloaded from Google Play and the iTunes App Store shortly. Subscription packages start from £9.99 per month or £199.99 for an entire year. There’s also a special introductory price of £149 that include’s a year’s unlimited viewing of your chosen subscription package.
