It’s a good day for Google fans that are yet to upgrade to the Nexus 5, with KitKat starting to hit the Nexus 4 today. The 4.4 Android update launched with the Nexus 5 nearly a month ago now, and has since made it to the Nexus 7 and 10.
Users on the Android Central forums have reported KitKat starting to arrive on their handsets, complete with screen grabs for proof. It’s yet to roll out to each and every device, as CNET confirms, but should be on the way. Google itself is yet to comment on the rollout.
The KitKat OS streamlines the Android experience to benefit lower-end phones. It should be hitting other company’s handsets in the coming months.
