Rumours on Apple’s smartwatch have started heating up in the last few months. Now we’ve got one of the most interesting tidbits yet. Apparently the iWatch flexible display will be provided by none other than LG.

A Korean outlet has suggested that the two tech companies are nearing a deal. LG is one of the two companies that’s made its research into bendy displays public, so it’s not too surprising that it could end up supplying the iWatch flexible display. Taiwanese company RiTdisplay is said to be supplying the glass cover for the new device. Samsung, the other smartwatch maker with a hand in flexi-tech, reportedly passed up the opportunity due to production of its own Galaxy Gear.

It’s all just rumours right now, but the increase in the amount of them seems to suggest the iWatch is very much a reality. Will 2014 be the year that Apple finally introduces us to its latest hardware?
