iPhone 5C smiles for the camera in high quality leak

We’ve heard many rumours about a low-cost iPhone, with many people speculating that the device will go by the name of the iPhone 5C and be encased in plastic — rather than the premium metallic of the higher-end iPhone.

Now these are all rumours, so who knows what Apple will end up calling it, but for now we’ll go with the general consensus that it will be launched as the iPhone 5C.

We’re starting to see more and more of this plastic iPhone, but today comes the release of high-resolution images courtesy of Sonny Dickson.

These photos don’t show much in the way of things we didn’t already know, but the device seems to be fashioned out of polycarbonate — meaning this is likely going to be a much cheaper device.

Apple has been in need of less premium device for a while, with the iPhone 5 costing much more than most Android devices, so a mid-range iPhone of around the £300 mark could hit the sweet spot.
