Updated design offers a streamlined experience to users
Huawei has launched its new AppGallery interface in Europe which has been designed to create deeper engagements with its consumers.
The Chinese smartphone vendor has made a series of enhancements to AppGallery to reflect Huawei’s App ecosystem which has grown to 530 million monthly active users in the past year.
The new design showcases its apps and games with bigger and bolder designs across its user experience.
Huawei says it has focused on interactive discovery which has enabled apps to be showcased using striking visuals and complementary digital content and presented to users in fewer steps.
On the new ‘Featured’ tab, for example, Apps are now presented in card form. This means that not only is it easier for users to find a selection of Apps and Games hand-picked by the AppGallery team, but they can also get much more relevant curated content, including articles, expert guides, and reviews.
The Campaigns tab offers promotions including lucky draws, cash back offers, and challenges to win rewards, and most of them are localised which generates increased interactivity with users.
The Gifts section enables users to retrieve free items from app developers in return for downloading or signing up for their apps.
Apps and games can now be discovered via two exclusive tabs which give users a more focused discovery experience.
Huawei’s CEO of consumer business group in the UK Anson Zhang said: “The number of apps, including premium apps on our platform, is growing by the day, and we want our customers to be exposed to this wealth of content as it becomes available.
“The redesigned AppGallery lives up to its name by allowing users to browse easily through our curated content and discover unexpected delights”.
The new version of AppGallery launches across Europe from today in selected countries including the UK.
