Huawei has today launched the IDEOS X5 smartphone, with Android 2.2, 5-megapixel camera, 3G and Wi-Fi.
Like the first IDEOS, the X5 is likely to be an affordable, yet powerful, offering – although there’s no confirmed date on when it is coming to the UK – nor a price.
It has a 3.8-inch (480×800 pixel) display, with multi-touch, Adobe Flash 10.1 support and 720p HD video capture.
In addition to the usual array of Google apps, the phone will also ship with the Aldiko eBook reader software and Roadsync.
Victor Xu, Chief Marketing Officer of Huawei Device said: “In today’s always-online world, the line between personal and professional life is blurring. Smartphones play an important role in helping people mange these two aspects of their lives conveniently and simply. The Huawei IDEOS X5 smartphone offers a perfect blend of style and technology that allows busy professionals to respond to work issues in real time while staying connected with loved ones and having fun at the same time.”
