Huawei has today announced the world’s first tablet with Android Honeycomb V3.2. Powered by a powerful Qualcomm 1.2GHz dual-core processor, the MediaPad is Huawei’s slimmest and lightest tablet so far, measuring just 10.5mm thick and weighing 390g.

The MediaPad has a 7-inch IPS touchscreen and supports Adobe Flash content, 1080p video playback, and it also has two cameras; 1.3-megapixel at the front and a 5-megapixel autofocus sensor at the back.

For fast data connectivity, the tablet also supports 3G with HSPA+ for speeds up to 14.4Mbps and Wi-Fi 802.11b/g/n.

Victor Xu, Chief Marketing Officer of Huawei Device said: “With the Huawei MediaPad, we are demonstrating yet again that design, functionality and performance is within anyone’s reach. The 7-inch tablet remains the preferred size for portability and Android Honeycomb 3.2 is dedicated to enhance the full potential of 7-inch tablets.
