HTC unveils new smartphone Desire 310

HTC has announced its newest entry-level offering in the form of the Desire 310.

Design-wise, the immediate difference between the new handset and its predecessor – the Desire 300 – is that the  traditional three button arrangement is back. No more huge gaps between two buttons here.

In terms of Hardware, the Desire 310 houses a 1.3GHz quad-core processor, a 4.5-inch display and a 5MP rear camera. All pretty much standard for an entry-level handset.

Commentators have noted that the press image provided by the manufacturer (see above) shows ‘ rather oddly for a HTC device ‘ stock app icons and the blue status bar, which could indicate that the phone will come with the Android Jelly Bean OS and not KitKat.

Either way, HTC hasn’t confirmed that as of yet, so we will have to wait and see. The Desire 310 will be made available for retail at the end of next month.
