Following its release in the UK earlier this week, Google has upgraded its Glass augmented reality eyewear.
The specs now come with 2GB RAM, double what was previously available and a photo-framing Viewfinder mode.
The latter function works when you use the device’s voice command function to say “ok Glass, show the viewfinder”. Consequently, you will see white L’s appear in the four corners of your Glass screen – allowing you to better frame the image you want to take. You can then either take a photo by stating “ok Glass, take a picture” or by pushing the camera button.
Finally, Google announced more Google Now cards for Glass, including one to remind you where you parked your car, and another to show you when to expect a delivery.
Earlier this week, Google also announced the availability of a range of new apps for its device.
Among the new additions currently available on the MyGlass store are audio recognition service Shazam, the foreign language guide Duolingo, The Guardian news app and two fitness focussed apps; Runtastic and 94Fifty Basketball.
You can grab Google Glass on the Play Store for £1,000.
