This cute puzzle game from KLICKTOCK gets a tick for the graphics and a tock for the time it takes me to find objects (you know what I mean).

Little Things_2

The game starts with a large star made up of smaller, cartoon objects, like pelicans, triceratops and muffins.  Initially, you are given a list of things to find on only two of these objects – the aforementioned dinosaur and a clown fish (insert puns about Finding Nemo here), which when zoomed in, turn out to be made of many smaller, cute things.  Some of the rounds are timed, and two ‘final’ rounds consist of flipping four pictures until they make up a whole picture.

This unlocks a different object in the main star and you move on to more ‘find the object’ puzzles.

If stuck, you can use the ‘hint’ button which highlights the section the object in question is in.  Completing levels earns you puzzle pieces and you can earn achievements for speed and the like.

The graphics are very cute and really, make looking for the objects bearable, since the game can get devilishly hard quite quickly (or maybe I need that eye test).  Plus, in the end, it’s just a picture search, which can wear a little thin after a while.

However, the search is made more fun not only by the art but also by the occasional easter egg picture, like a cassette tape titled ‘How to Speak Whale’ and a weird lizard-wolfman creature.

The game play is easy and the concept simple.  The music is fun and the game’s free – what’s not to like?
