A neat little brain teaser game ‘ you are presented with four pictures and a jumble of letters from which you need to spell the word that the pictures have in common. You earn money for each correct word and this money can be used in getting help when you’re stuck such as paying to reveal a letter of the word.
The game keeps it interesting by requiring some lateral thinking (one involved two pictures of babies and puppies and two of chocolate ‘ the answer was ‘sweet’) and by getting harder the more levels you achieve.
The pictures are fun and well rendered and the words are all well known (so don’t worry you might not get antidisestablishmentarianism if it comes up).
It does occasionally try and get you to download other games and the little hint button can get very annoying when you’re stuck, since it keeps jumping at you and beeping, but in general, 4 Pics 1 Word is a simple, well laid out game that’s got it right.
