Galaxy Gear now has a web browser€¦ if you hack it

There aren’t a lot of things you can do with the Samsung Galaxy Gear now. True, the smart watch saw an update to add full notifications this week, but it looks like people are now turning to custom ROMs to get the most out of it.

One such ROM allows for full web-browsing on the device. It comes from an XDA member named fOmey. It works its way round the manufacture locks to allow third-party apps, widgets and wallpapers onto the watch. Granted at 1.6 inches now all of these apps are usable.

Still, it’s nice to have the option to do these things, isn’t it? We all know that it’s better than what’s on offer with the Galaxy Gear now.
