Bad controls have spoiled many a game, but what if the bad controls were a deliberate design choice? That’s the dilemma facing anyone that tries to gauge the left-field masterpiece Enviro-Bear 2010 on level terms with other titles.
As said Bear, your task is to drive a (presumably stolen) car around the forest, grabbing food for the hibernation, before parking it in a cave. Being a bear, you do this by moving your paw around, activating the controls separately, so accelerating can’t be done at the same time as grabbing a passing fish, for instance.
It’s stupid and silly, with some hilariously awful graphics to compliment the surrealist-like terribleness of the controls. Whether you’ll actually enjoy the game is completely dependant on your attitude towards its humour, but it’s hard to deny that Enviro-Bear 2010 is one of the most original experiences Android Market has to offer.
