EE has just launched the 4GEE Action Cam, the world’s first 4G action camera that makes it easy for anyone to live stream videos.
The 4GEE Action Cam allows anyone to live stream HD video content to smartphones and tablets whilst on the go. Each video – whether it’s a hiking trip or your child’s birthday – will be streamed through EE’s 4G network or Skeegle, a personal live streaming service.
Users can drop the camera’s resolution to get a higher frame rate. This allows the camera to capture smoother footage of cycling or other action sports. The camera is also capable of taking 13MP stills and it has room for up to 64GB of external memory. Battery also lasts a decent three hours.

Packaged with the 4GEE Action Cam is a lightweight case that protects it from bumps and a waterproof case that offers up to 60 metres of underwater protection.
An accompanying viewfinder watch allows you view what your camera sees and start or stop recording with a single press of a button. This means you needn’t actually touch the camera when you’re filming. There’s also an Action Cam app – available on iOS and Android – that gives the user control over camera settings, videos, data and top ups.
The 4GEE Action Cam & outdoor camera – Globo Surf will be available from June 16 from EE, Carphone Warehouse, Jessops, Amazon and Selfridges.
You can pick it up for £10 a month on a two-year shared price plan for an upfront cost of £99.99. It’s also available for £15 a month for a two-year shared price plan with no upfront cost.
Upfront, the camera costs £299.99 with 2GB of data for 30 days. Pay £399.99 and you get 24GB of data for 12 months.
Pay monthly customers who pay £15 a month for a 24 month contract will get 2GB of data, whilst those who pay £20 a month will get 10GB of data.
