Doro has launched a new mobile phone, aimed at senior citizens, that aims to make texting easier.

The PhoneEasy 332gsm is a phone that doesn’t have the usual big button design, and has a smart and stylish design. The one-touch button for SMS access is aimed at making texting easier for people who may have sight impairment or limited dexterity. A survey for Doro by Synovate found that only one third of people over the age of 65 actually text on their phone.

The phone is an easy-to-use candybar design, with a high-contrast LCD display. A zoom facility helps make text easy to read for dialling and messaging.

Other functions include an alarm, calendar, key-lock and integrated torch function, plus standard Doro features like the emergency alarm button on the back that can be programmed to dial a series of up to five numbers in the event of an accident, tone control, amplified sound, vibrating ringer alert, three quick-dial keys and a simplified menu system.

The Doro PhoneEasy 332gsm has a suggested retail price of £90 and is available from
