Although we are certain that you don’t require such an expensive gadget to use social media or play your favourite comeon games, we were still curious to see what Samsung Galaxy Z Flip has to offer.

The first thing we wondered about was the durability of such a screen, considering the number of times you would open and close it from the moment you get your hands on it.
We were surprised to hear that Samsung guarantees you can flip the phone’s screen open around 200,000 times. The phone also has a layer of protection preventing any small external particles from finding their way to the space between the hinge and the screen.

Nowadays, the camera is an essential feature when choosing a phone, as people want to avoid carrying professional cameras wherever they go. All the latest phones on the market excel at their camera characteristics, so naturally, we expected the new Samsung to do so as well.
However, Z Flip proved us wrong with regards to camera quality.
Do not get us wrong, the camera is not bad, but it’s not excellent either, at least not compared to some previous Samsung models like Galaxy S10. The good thing, though, is that the camera can be used while the phone is in flex mode, meaning you can adjust it to get whatever angle you desire to catch.
Since the base of the phone can be used as a tripod, the photos you take by using the timer are guaranteed to be sharp due to the phone’s ability to stand firm on its own. Also, when in flex mode, Samsung Galaxy Z Flip offers a viewing area enabling you to take amazing selfies.
The overall performance of Galaxy Z Flip is indeed quite good considering that it uses the last year’s processor Snapdragon 855 Plus combined with 8GB of RAM, which is quite good for a foldable phone.
The battery life is pretty sustainable even with consistent use throughout the day, and the storage of 256GB should be enough for all your photos, music, and apps you can’t live without.
Samsung Galaxy Z Flip also features wireless charging and most importantly, it can definitely fit any pocket.
Our final verdict should include the value for money comparison, and in that case, Galaxy Z Flip has failed miserably. The phone is good, there’s no doubt, but its price of over $1,300 is a serious downside, primarily because you can find phones with better specs for far less money. With that in mind, Samsung should reconsider performing these expensive experiments in the future and focus more on producing great quality phones as they have done in the past.
