Apple and China Mobile partnered together to bring the iPhone to China last month. The result? Huge sales and the promise of future business.
Chine Mobile chairman Xi Guohua has said that orders of everybody’s favorite smartphone have been in the ‘multi-millions’. In turn, Apple CEO Tim Cook has said that he’s ‘incredibly optimistic’ about the future of the two.
Official figures haven’t been revealed yet, but we don’t doubt that Apple has sold stacks of their products in the region. Deals are in place with other Chinese carriers too. In other words: $$$.
“Today is a beginning,” Cook told The Wall Street Journal, “and I think there are lots more things our companies can do together in the future … China Mobile already has a reach to many cities that Apple does not have a reach to.”
That’s sure to boost Apple’s dominance even further, then.
