It’s an idea which is fast becoming less ridiculous year by year – smartphones are capable vehicles for creating art. We’ve already looked at some of the best paintings created via the medium of tablet – now it’s time for smartphone photography to receive its dues.
The more serious photographers may scoff at the idea, but this contest is held by none other than the Smithsonian Museum. Not only that, but one glance at the snaps that made it to the final below and even the stoniest-faced of photography nerds will surely be impressed. If you like what you see you can vote for your favourite here, as well as learn more about what the photographers think of their selected shots.
