Google’s Android 4.1.1 update will fix the Nexus 5’s inconsistent camera performance, the company has said.

It’s director of engineering for Android Dave Burke told The Verge that the update will make five changes to the Nexus 5’s camera.

The first is that it will improve autofocus, by speeding up the frame-rate in good lighting. Exposure and white balance will also be improved, Burke said.

The camera app will also launch a second quicker than before the update.
