Android gets 3D Touch feature on Instagram

Instagram will bring the new pressure sensitive screen feature to Android devices.

The feature works differently for Android devices as Force Touch (Android’s 3D Touch) is not feature on any Android devices at the moment. To replicate the experience Android users can tap what they what to view and hold it for a short period of time to preview it, whereas on the iPhone 6s you press down harder to open a preview.

It’s less instantaneous than using 3D Touch but the feature is now there for Android users to enjoy. Instagram update 7.13.0 should be rolling out now, but it’s Android so it will be rolling out periodically. Or you can just download the APK file.
