With Android 8.0 Oreo now official, it’s time for all the third-party manufacturers to start releasing tidbits about their status on the update.
HTC has jumped on the bandwagon after a Twitter user asked the question of which devices would be getting the update. @HTCUSA was quick to reply, saying that the HTC U11, HTC U Ultra and HTC 10 would be receiving the latest operating system.
We’re excited to bring Android Oreo to HTC U11, HTC U Ultra, and HTC 10 owners worldwide! Details & additional devices to be announced soon.

The inclusion of the HTC 10 is quite welcome, especially as the handset is well over a year old now. We suspect that this will be the last big OTA update in its lifetime, so users of the HTC 10 should relish this update.
Since the HTC U Ultra is included in the list, we were a bit surprised not to the A9 on there as well. Both of these were announced around the same time and the A9 was an upper mid-range phone.
