If you want to get your hands on the Android 4.4 KitKat update, then rejoice as it’s come to yet another device. We’ve been seeing the update arrive for the Moto X, Nexus 4, Nexus 7 and the Nexus 10 receive the update, but now the pure stock Android edition of Samsung’s Galaxy S4 is now receiving the same update.

Whilst this doesn’t help millions of you who went and bought the bog standard Galaxy S4 from Samsung, in all its TouchWiz glory, it does help those who bought the phone completely unsubsidised from the Google Play store, expressly for the ability to get the update earlier.

If you have a Galaxy S4 Google Play Edition then the update should arrive in your Settings, and it’ll bring along with it a whole host of improvements – including longer battery life and immersion mode.
