O2 named as exclusive Disney+ UK partner

New and upgrading customers will receive six months of free access to the streaming service

O2 has signed a deal with Disney+ that will see the operator become the exclusive UK mobile network distributor of the streaming service.

Disney+ is due to launch on March 24 and new and upgrading O2 customers will have the option of selecting six months free Disney+ when purchased online. The service originally costs £5.99 per month.

O2 CEO Mark Evans: “We’re delighted to be working with Disney to bring these incredible shows and movies to our customers, demonstrating that there are more reasons than ever to join the UK’s No.1 network.”

Walt Disney Company president Jan Koeppen added: We’re delighted to work with the award-winning mobile network O2 on the UK launch of Disney+, which represents a new chapter in the way Disney delivers our timeless stories to fans.”
