Ahead of the Sony Ericsson launch at CES, pictures (and a video) of the new Xperia handset have surfaced on the net.
It seems that it isn’t just the Google Nexus S that has gone for a curved design, and the Xperia Arc is extremely thin – measuring just 8.7mm at its thinnest point.
The phone is also rumoured to be powered by the 1GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon processor used in the X10, with an 8-megapixel back-illuminated Sony camera sensor with HD video capture.
Other details aren’t confirmed, although Gagadget also states that it will be the first Sony Ericsson Android handset to ship with Android 2.3. Fingers crossed the press conference will tell us if the existing Xperia models are likely to see 2.2 or 2.3 upgrades in the near future.
