Griffin launches military certified iPhone and iPod cases

Griffin has created a case that will protect your iPhone or iPod touch from the toughest of environments. The question is, will you be as well protected?

Forget about fancy case designs and soft materials. The Griffin Survivor casing is not meant to look sexy, it’s made of a shatter-resistant polycarbonate frame surrounded by a rugged, shock-absorbing silicone to protect your device from dirt, sand, rain, shock, vibration and other nasty conditions.

The cases are designed (and tested) to exceed both US and UK Department of Defence Standards, and Griffin isn’t just expecting you to believe its press release; they’ve got a website full of demonstrations of how tough Survivor is – testing the cases in the rain and wind, dropped from almost two metres and with dust and sand blasted on the sealed ports.

Survivor will be available soon from Amazon.co.uk for £34.99 (SRP) for the iPhone 4 and £29.99 (SRP) for iPod touch 4th generation, with a choice of colours: Black, Olive, Pink and Black. It represents the first of a new range of armoured accessories from the company.
