O2 reveals existence of HTC One X+

The HTC One X+ has been a hotly debated smartphone in recent weeks and now it seems the Android 4.1 Jelly Bean device is on the way. How do we know? Why, the latest O2 instore magazine has spilled the beans.

As leaks go, it’s something of a rarity these days that a phone like the HTC One X+, which hasn’t been made official by the company yet, should appear in a brochure by an operator and actually distributed it to its retail outlets as ‘coming soon’.

That’s what has happened with the HTC One X+, which we now know thanks to O2 is set to cost £479.99 (inc. VAT) as a Pay and Go handset. There are no details of contract deals but we can expect them to start at around £30 a month.

The advert doesn’t confirm the screen size of the HTC One X+, but it does reveal that it will be running  the Android 4.1 Jelly Bean OS. We can also look forward to a 1.7GHz quad-core processor, most possibly the Nvidia Tegra 3, as well as 64GB of internal storage.

Extra features being highlighted are the 8-Megapixel camera, Beats Audio technology and 25GB of free Dropbox cloud storage.

With no on-sale date, we’ll no doubt need to wait until HTC confirms the existence of the HTC One X+ to firm up the full spec of what looks like being a power-house portable.

What do you think, are you tempted by the power and the price of this Android smartphone? Let us know what you think in the comments below.
